PaymentReminder Terms of Service

1. Overview
PaymentReminder (the “Service,” “we,” “us”) provides an accounts-receivable reminder service for freelancers and small teams. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Service. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
2. Service Description
The Service:
- Connects to Xero to synchronize customer and invoice information.
- Organizes customers using payment-history rules and applies the reminder schedules you configure.
- Connects to Gmail or Google Workspace using
gmail.sendso configured reminders can be sent without reading the connected mailbox. - Records each reminder attempt and its delivery status so you can review reminder history.
- Processes your information according to our Privacy Policy.
3. Your Obligations
You agree to:
- Provide accurate information when configuring the Service.
- Maintain the security of your PaymentReminder, Xero, and Google accounts.
- Comply with Google’s Terms of Service and the Google API Services User Data Policy.
- Send reminders only to recipients you are legally entitled to contact. You are solely responsible for each reminder sent on your behalf.
- Comply with applicable anti-spam and email-marketing laws in your jurisdiction.
- Not use the Service to send unsolicited bulk email, phishing content, malware, or content that is illegal, deceptive, or harmful.
4. Data Usage and Privacy
We handle information as described in our Privacy Policy. In summary, the Service stores connected-service OAuth tokens, customer and invoice information, reminder settings, and reminder delivery records. We do not sell your information. Reminder recipients and content are shared with Google for delivery; the Service does not request access to read your Gmail mailbox.
5. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free synchronization or delivery of reminders. Delivery depends on Google, the recipient’s mail provider, network conditions, your configuration, and other circumstances outside our control. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.
6. Termination
You may stop using the Service or disconnect a connected service at any time. You may request deletion of your PaymentReminder account by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, abuse the Service, or use it in a way that puts PaymentReminder or its access to Google or Xero at risk.
7. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
